As the New York Times reports that a contractor who was employed by Booz Allen Hamilton (the same company Edward Snowden worked for), has been arrested for stealing highly-classified “source codes” developed by the NSA to hack foreign government systems…we at The Duran are waiting for the official Washington statement that will blame this latest NSA leak on Russia.
According to the Justice Department, 51-year-old Harold Thomas Martin, who was employed by Booz Allen Hamilton — the company responsible for most of the NSA’s most sensitive cyberoperations — faces up to 10 years in prison for theft of government property and one year for removing classified material. The materials he is believed to have stolen are “critical to national security”, Justice Department officials added.
Mr. Harold Thomas Martin faces 10 years in prison for theft of government property and removing classified material, while Hillary runs for President.
How is what martin did, any different than taking classified US government documents and moving them to a private home server, and then deleting them with bleachbit…and then putting a hammer to the mobile devices that stored many of those classified documents…and then striking a “side agreement” with the FBI for immunity and the right to destroy the laptops that stored those documents.
Am I missing something?
And while we are pointing out the hypocrisy and irony of it all, how about this one…
Mr. Harold Thomas Martin was arrested for stealing six highly-classified documents with “source codes” developed by the NSA to hack foreign government systems. In other words, Martin stole the source code developed to hack the governments of China, Russia, Germany, etc…
Remember when the entire Washington war hawk establishment, and main street media, went into a frenzy after the Clinton Campaign cleverly accused Russian hackers for the DNC leak. HRC said the US should go to war with any state that hacks American government systems.
Hillary Clinton is ready to go to war with Russia or China (without evidence) over the very same things that the NSA has now openly admitted it does, with this latest prosecution.
The statement released by the DOJ:
“Among the classified documents…were six classified documents obtained from sensitive intelligence and produced by a government agency in 2014.”
“These documents were produced through sensitive government sources, methods and capabilities, which are critical to a wide variety of national security issues. The disclosure of the documents would reveal those sensitive sources, methods, and capabilities.”
“If convicted, Martin faces a maximum sentence of one year in prison for the unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials, and ten years in prison for theft of government property.”
Martin’s attorneys are relying on the Hillary Clinton “lack of intent” argument…though we are certain this recent legal precedent only pertains to members of the Clinton family and inner-circle…
“There is no evidence that Hal Martin intended to betray his country.”
“What we do know is that Hal Martin loves his family and his country. He served his nation honorably in the US Navy as a lieutenant and he has devoted his entire career to protecting his country.”
“We look forward to defending Hal Martin in court.”
The NSA’s most famous leak, Edward Snowden, weighed in on Twitter asking if this will expose flaws in US products.

This is huge. Did the FBI secretly arrest the person behind the reports NSA sat on huge flaws in US products? https://t.co/otgOwB5efm
